The Westin Jakarta
Looming over the pulsating highways connecting upmarket Kuningan area with the rest of the city, the Westin Jakarta, currently the tallest hotel in Indonesia, is the address du jour with its winsome composite of heady height and neoteric accoutrements.
Heavenly Spa by Westin is a gorgeous space raised with comfort and luxury in mind. We especially enjoyed mani and pedi at a private station gazing into the city below. Henshin, a moody bar and restaurant looming over the city, is currently the place to see and be seen in the booming capital.
Generally, hotel staff appear attentive and exhibit the willingness to assist guests with queries and requests. Friendly and capable staff at the Westin Club Lounge are always at hand to go that extra mile for guests.
There are common design themes like the flower chandeliers and heavenly beds that this hotel shares with other Westins but a heavy dose of stardust is palpable in its conception. The Renewal Rooms are our favourite with its ample layout dripping with views. If all future Westin hotels are to follow in the cast and countenance of this stunning property, one can, and should expect some fundamental shifts in the branding firmament of the Marriott-Starwood bloc.
